Monolithic Theatre presents Four Carnival, a curated evening of short monologue performances exploring identity, migration, inheritance, resistance, and joy. Timed for the opening weekend of Notting Hill Carnival, the programme unfolds like a set of solos in conversation—where language, silence, and music combine to create a night of bold, emotionally resonant theatre.
Bringing together award-winning writers, internationally recognised actors, and acclaimed creative artists, Four Carnival offers a series of distilled works that centre the inner life. Each piece stands alone, while together they form a rich, rhythmic exchange exploring love, faith, memory, artistry, and the courage it takes to live fully in the present.
The programme features writing by T. S. Eliot Prize–winning poet Roger Robinson and Costa First Novel Award–winning author Caleb Azumah Nelson, alongside original work by Gemma Weekes, Carolina Escobar, Abiola O. Beckles, and Isaiah Weekes. Performances are delivered by an exceptional ensemble whose screen and stage credits include Star Wars: Andor, The Kitchen, His House, TRUST: Saga, Babies, Casualty, Code 404, Kelechi, and leading UK venues including the National Theatre, Royal Court Theatre, and Kiln Theatre.

A Colombian-British actress working across screen and stage, best known for her leading role as Mia Gray in TRUST: Saga. With a background in formal performing arts training, she brings a thoughtful, versatile approach to complex characters and rich, multifaceted stories.
A British-Jamaican actor, writer, and theatre maker from South London. His television credits include Babies and Casualty (BBC), Code 404 (Sky), and Ransom (CBS). His stage work includes Hamlet at the National Theatre, Macbeth at the Orange Tree Theatre, and Shebeen at Theatre Royal Stratford East. His debut play One Way Out won the 2023 UNTAPPED Award.
A Senegalese British actor and writer whose theatre credits span the National Theatre, Brixton House, and Kiln Theatre. Her screen work includes Kelechi, Cost of Living, and feature film productions for Netflix.
An actor and music artist trained at Italia Conti who moves fluidly between theatre, live music, and storytelling. Alongside her creative work, she is completing a Postgraduate Law Degree while preparing to launch her debut EP and short film.
