Join ClientEarth for an evening of discovery, inspiration, and action to protect the Mediterranean. We will be taken on a fascinating journey into the hidden underwater world of the Mediterranean Sea with NatGeo Explorer and Wildlife Photographer of the year 2021/2023 Laurent Ballesta, while ClientEarth will share their mission to use the power of the law to protect this vital ecosystem.

ClientEarth: We are one of the world’s most ambitious environmental organisations. We use innovative legal strategies to tackle the climate, biodiversity and pollution crises. We use the power of the law to:

Change: We help write laws that prioritise you and the health of the planet.
Protect: We use litigation and advocacy to enforce environmental laws and preserve nature.
Empower: We share legal expertise with partners and communities around the world.

Laurent Ballesta, Planet Mediterranean: In July 2019, Laurent and three other divers made history by living for 28 days in a 5m² module, 120 meters deep in the Mediterranean. Each day, they explored and studied the twilight zone, ranging from 60 to 140 meters deep, from Marseille to Monaco. The seabed and coralligenous reefs they visited are little known to biologists and, due to the ecological impact of humans, have become refuges for biodiversity. In Planet Mediterranean, Laurent presented his remarkable, never-before-seen footage of the rarest species in their natural environment.
