A Celebration of British Nuts
This is a big one. This evening marks the official launch of The Big British Nut Project, a new coalition of British farmers coming together to grow a homegrown industry from the ground up, championing native hazelnuts and walnuts as a climate-smart, regenerative alternative to imported varieties.
Join us for a screening of The Nut Farmer of Glastonbury, followed by a live conversation with director Elsa Kent, her father and farmer Andrew Kent, and special guests, plus a live performance from Sam Lee, the Mercury Prize-nominated folk singer known for weaving traditional English song with themes of nature and land.

The evening doesn’t stop when the lights come up. Stay on for The Nutters’ Supper, a three-course meal by Pollini, woven through with British produce and served at shared tables designed for exactly what the name promises: meeting, mingling, and swapping stories with farmers, filmmakers and fellow enthusiasts alike. It’s the perfect way to carry the evening’s conversation about the future of British farming from the panel straight through to the table.

About the film
After forty years working the fields, a farmer on the edge of Glastonbury takes a radical leap into the unknown, planting trees for a slow, perennial crop rooted in patience, hope and faith in the future. Both deeply personal and quietly political, The Nut Farmer of Glastonbury offers an intimate portrait of one man’s transformation while imagining a future where food production and ecological restoration flourish together.
