Antonio Faraò is one of Europe’s most acclaimed jazz pianists and a leading voice in contemporary international jazz. Widely praised by Herbie Hancock, Faraò has built an extraordinary career through collaborations with some of the genre’s most celebrated artists, including Joe Lovano, Jack DeJohnette, Chris Potter, Miroslav Vitouš, Didier Lockwood, Benny Golson and Ivan Lins. Renowned for his dazzling virtuosity, powerful rhythmic drive and deeply expressive performances, Faraò combines exceptional technical brilliance with an original compositional voice, creating concerts that are both electrifying and emotionally compelling. His international breakthrough came in 1998 when he won First Prize at the prestigious Martial Solal International Jazz Piano Competition in Paris, establishing him as one of Europe’s foremost jazz artists.

His acclaimed recordings include Black Inside and Thorn for the renowned Enja Records label, featuring jazz legends such as Jeff “Tain” Watts, Ira Coleman, Jack DeJohnette, Chris Potter and Drew Gress. His genre-crossing album Eklektikfurther showcased his versatility through collaborations with Marcus Miller, Biréli Lagrène and Snoop Dogg.

A frequent guest of Herbie Hancock at UNESCO’s International Jazz Day celebrations, Faraò has performed alongside an extraordinary roster of artists including Wayne Shorter, Branford Marsalis, Kurt Elling, Marcus Miller and Al Jarreau. With a career spanning acclaimed recordings, international awards and performances on the world’s leading stages, Antonio Faraò continues to be a defining figure in contemporary jazz, bringing passion, innovation and unmistakable artistry to every performance.
