Right at this moment people are being murdered, ecosystems are being destroyed, organised criminals are terrorising communities and corporate gangsters are trampling on the law. But closely following their every move, are teams of secret agents, vigilantes and scientists who are fighting for our planet’s future.
Join us as we meet criminal psychologist Dr Julia Shaw to discuss her latest investigation and book, Green Crime. Dr Shaw will take us deep into some of the worst environmental crimes of our time. She’ll reconstruct the minds of the perpetrators in cases like the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the Dieselgate emissions scandal, and the Shuidong wildlife crime syndicate. How do the Earth’s killers think? What makes their crimes so deadly? And how can we stop them from stealing our future?
The event will end with an audience Q&A and then stick around for drinks and debriefing.
