The home has always been the ultimate expression of safety & belonging in human culture. What is the meaning of home now in our times of rapid change? How can we cultivate meaning, belonging and safety in our own homes? How to connect our home to ourselves and the natural world? We bring leading interior designers, a creative director with a care-centred approach to design, and a leading nature-based architect and builder to discuss.
Panel Speakers
David Netto, celebrated American designer and writer, chairs this talk. Known for his witty, incisive essays on design as well as his own interiors, he brings both critical perspective and humour to the subject of how we live.
Ab Rogers, creative director, will draw on the Wolfson Prize-winning, conceptual and care-centred work of his multi-disciplinary design practice to explore how design can shape more meaningful, connected ways of living.
Beata Heuman, one of the most original voices in interior design today, will share her approach to creating spaces that are imaginative, personal, and deeply human — homes that are not just beautiful, but alive with the character of the people who inhabit them.
Merlin Eayrs, renowned designer, will share insights and experiences from his intimate, nature-based approach to building and home-making.
