Join us in the Sunbeam Theatre as we meet Nina to hear her story and learn about her heartfelt mission to replace fear with love for every individual across the globe.

“I want you to imagine that you’ve been beaten in a deliberate, deadly attack… That was me in 1991, left for dead. Broken and bruised… Now I stand here disowned by my family without fear, without hatred or anger. Healed. I’m Nina Aouilk.”

After being forced into a marriage as a child, Nina survived an ‘honour killing’ attack. When Nina speaks about being a proud survivor of abuse, assault, and complex trauma, her words carry deep meaning. There was a time when she believed her fate was to remain a perpetual victim, destined for a life of continuous struggle. It wasn’t until everything came crashing down that she found the strength to initiate a transformative change.

Today, Nina has established herself as an expert and a leading authority in cultural intelligence, gender-based violence, and regaining control after enduring abuse. She is a best-selling author, an influential activist, and the founder of a nonprofit organization. In addition, Nina serves as a mindset coach to prominent UFC, PFL MMA fighters, and boxers and sits on advisory boards for Scotland Yard and The Home Office.

The Trouble Club is a women-led organisation running a rich programme of talks, dinners, networking and coaching events, and cultural outings. Their mission is to get great women speakers on stage and to build bonds across the group, both personally and professionally.
