“No water, no life. No blue, no green.” – Sylvia Earle

Join us for an unforgettable evening as part of Ladbroke Hall’s London Climate Action Week series with a screening of Oceans, the award-winning cinematic masterpiece narrated by Sir David Attenborough.

Directed by Jacques Perrin and Jacques Cluzaud (Winged Migration), and co-produced with the BBC Natural History Unit, Oceans dives deep into the mysteries and majesty of Earth’s last great wilderness. With extraordinary underwater cinematography and a stirring original score by Bruno Coulais, this critically acclaimed film brings audiences face-to-face with over 80 marine species — from colossal blue whales to bioluminescent plankton, playful dolphins to silent giants of the deep.

Winner of Best Documentary at the César Awards and hailed as “visually spellbinding” by The Guardian, Oceans is both a lyrical celebration and a stark call to action — revealing what’s at stake in our planet’s most vulnerable ecosystems.

The evening will start with a podcast recording by Ocean News with the filmaker and Blue Marine Foundation.

Hosted by Rob Hutchins, seasoned environmental journalist and Editor at Products of Change. He also hosts the UN‑backed SDG Members Awards and writes for Oceanographic Magazine.

Following the screening, we invite you to gather at the bar for cocktails and conversation, with reflections from special guests and fellow members of our curious, creative, and kind community.

This event forms part of Ladbroke Hall’s London Climate Action Week series — a curated cycle of screenings, talks and artistic experiences spotlighting climate, culture and community.
