Lou Hayter is a London-based musician, DJ and musical director. A Mercury-nominated alumna of electro-pop band New Young Pony Club, she has spent two decades at the intersection of music and culture – holding down a vinyl residency at Chiltern Firehouse while soundtracking events for Chanel, Miu Miu, Gucci, Fendi, Louis Vuitton and Christian Louboutin. Her club CV runs from XOYO to Fabric; her event history spans James Bond afterparties, Kylie Minogue’s 50th, Noel Gallagher’s 50th, and film premieres at Cannes and BAFTA.
Three seasons as musical director for Paul & Joe’s London Fashion Week catwalk shows sit alongside collaborations with JB Dunckel of Air and a feature on Hot Chip’s Freakout/Release. Her debut solo album Private Sunshine (Skint/BMG) earned Album of the Day on 6 Music and singles of the week on both Radio 1 and Radio 2. She is currently working on her second album.
