Join us at Ladbroke Hall for a captivating performance by Vanisha Gould- vocalist, composer, and bandleader whose music masterfully balances vulnerability and strength. A graduate of Berklee College of Music, Gould relocated from California to New York City in 2015 and quickly became an essential presence in the city’s jazz scene, with celebrated appearances at Smalls Jazz Club, Ornithology, Mezzrow, The Jazz Gallery, Minton’s Playhouse, and Dizzy’s Club.
Gould’s storytelling has resonated far beyond New York. Touring extensively across Europe—from Sweden, Denmark, and the Baltic states to the wider Nordic region- she has brought her intimate, narrative-rich sound to festivals, clubs, and living-room stages internationally.
Her albums In Her Words (2021), Life’s a Gig (2024), and She’s Not Shiny, She’s Not Smooth (2024) illuminate the interior lives of women in jazz, exploring resilience, humour, and truth with clarity and emotional depth. In 2023, she was awarded The Jazz Gallery Composition Residency Commission, allowing her to expand her vision into multi-movement works that weave together text, voice, and visual storytelling.
Experience this distinctive artistry live at Ladbroke Hall.
