Jesse Davis, born in 1965, is an American jazz saxophonist whose career was nurtured at the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts under the guidance of Ellis Marsalis. With eight albums on the Concord Jazz label and collaborations with legends like Jack McDuff and Illinois Jacquet, Davis has firmly established himself in the jazz world. A recipient of DownBeat magazine’s “Most Outstanding Musician” award, his music is a blend of ’50s jazz influences, rock-steady rhythms, and masterful solos.

“An alto-sax virtuoso, Jesse Davis’ latest album pulls elements of ’50s era jazz with rock-steady rhythms, gratifying solos and tight melodies.” –  DALTON SPANGLER, OFFBEAT

“The tone, the technique and the emotion simply ooze from the bell of the horn. The angular lines, the product of a master-craftsman.” – LANCE LIDDLE, BEBOP SPOKEN HERE

“Davis travels widely..” – PETER VACHER, JAZZWISE

Jesse Davis – alto saxophone,
