We are proud to present one of Italy’s top guitarists, who will perform with his quartet featuring high-profile UK musicians. This is a one-night-only performance in the UK. Gianluca was born in Naples on November 23, 1987, and currently lives in Rome. He studied under Dario Lapenna, Fabio Zeppetella, and Umberto Fiorentino at “Saint Louis” in Rome, graduating with honours from the Professional course. He has participated in various “New Jazz Talents” competitions, including “Eddie Lang” (presided over by Jim Hall), where he placed second; “Chicco Bettinardi,” where he won third place; and the “Vittoria Jazz Award.” He was also awarded first place at the “Jazz Club Bergamo” as best talent.
He released his first album, It’s Strictly Forbiddenn, produced by the Jazz Collection label. He presented the album with his quintet, joined by trumpet player Flavio Boltro, at the “Auditorium Parco della Musica.” That same year, he performed with his quintet at major Italian festivals.
