Both artists are closely connected to the jazz scene in Barcelona and also have strong ties to New York. Their music is clear and focused, built around strong melodies, solid rhythm, and close interaction. The set moves easily between written pieces and open improvisation, creating space for risk-taking, contrast, and spontaneous moments. Will Barry’s piano adds depth and drive to the group, helping create a tight, unified quartet sound where the focus is on playing together rather than showing off.

Lluc Casares is a clarinetist, composer, and arranger. He is the first musician from the Iberian Peninsula to complete the Artist Diploma at The Juilliard School, where he studied with Wynton Marsalis, Kenny Washington, and Ben Wolfe. He has released five albums as a leader, including Big Band Vol. 1 (2025), and has appeared on more than 20 recordings.

His work has earned awards such as Enderrock’s Best Jazz Album, and he has performed at major festivals and venues around the world, including Montreux Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
