Eat & Art is a new Saturday series by Carpenters Workshop Gallery and Pollini, combining contemporary design, conversation, and seasonal dining in a relaxed afternoon setting. The experience begins with a 45-minute guided tour of the gallery’s architectural spaces, offering insight into the ideas and processes behind the works currently on view.
Persistence of Form, an exhibition that explores the dialogue between jewellery and functional art through a shared language of composition across scale. Bringing together a breadth of female perspectives from the gallery’s expansive roster, Persistence of Form celebrates the individuality of practices that move seamlessly between functional art and how jewellery becomes a natural extension of the artist’s creative practice. Across these works, space is shaped, framed and activated – whether at the scale of the interior or as architecture for the body.
Komorebi presents new lighting works by Aki+Arnaud Cooren. Expanding their Ishigaki collection, these pieces are inspired by memories of freediving off the coast of southern Japan, exploring the relationship between light, material and the natural world.
Caos Calmo showcases new functional works by Italian designer Antonio Marras. Known internationally for his fashion practice, Marras presents paintings, drawings and sculptural objects that examine identity, memory and human relationships.
After the tour, guests are seated for a three-course seasonal set lunch. You may choose to join a communal table to continue the discussion with fellow guests, or opt for an independant dining experience. Eat & Art is ideal for those interested in design, art and good food — a simple, cultural way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
