Ilya Shmukler

Described as “a volcano” by the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Ilya Shmukler’s unforgettable performances are making waves in the classical music world. In 2024, he won four major awards, including First Prize, at the prestigious Concours Géza Anda in Zurich, Switzerland.

A true talent from an early age, Ilya’s journey began when his mother found him singing beautifully at just three years old. While his childhood was filled with school, table tennis, and ballroom dancing, his passion for music ultimately took center stage.

Since then, Ilya has performed as a soloist across Europe and North America, collaborating with renowned artists like Mikhail Pletnev and Marin Alsop. He has graced the stage with top orchestras, including the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich and Fort Worth Symphony. Highlights of his career include being a finalist and winning the award for “Best Performance of a Mozart Concerto” at the Cliburn Competition, as well as his New York debut at Carnegie Hall.

An alumnus of the Moscow State Conservatoire, Ilya continues to hone his craft at Park University in the USA under the guidance of Stanislav Ioudenitch.
