About ANONIMI Chamber Orchestra
Founded in 2023 by cellist and conductor Margarita Balanas, ANONIMI emerges as a pivotal voice in the ever-evolving dialogue surrounding the future of classical music. Most recently, ANONIMI were invited as guests on BBC Radio 3 In- Tune. Following their sold-out Inaugural Performance at The Bomb Factory in Marylebone, London, ANONIMI continues to break new ground in the classical music scene.
The orchestra’s ethos, eloquently captured by The Arts Desk, emphasizes a steadfast commitment to prioritising the essence of music itself, illuminating ANONIMI’s mission deeply rooted in community engagement initiatives that harness the transformative power of music to inspire and connect. This dedication finds expression in their electrifying performances, outreach initiatives and collaborations with contemporary composers.
Martin James Bartlett possesses a fearless technique and plays with a maturity and elegance far beyond his years. The British pianist is the inaugural recipient of the Prix Serdang in 2022, a Swiss prize curated by Rudolf Buchbinder in recognition of the achievements of a promising young pianist while forging an international solo career. Highlights of Bartlett’s 2024/25 season include debuts at the Lucerne and Moritzburg summer festivals, a return to the Concertgebouw, and two chamber music recitals at the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. In April 2025, Martin embarks on a 2-week tour of the US, which features solo appearances in Cincinnati and San Francisco.
Jasmin Iris Ghera is an Italian trumpeter from Sardinia and is currently pursuing Advanced Diploma studies at the Royal Academy of Music where she was awarded the prestigious Bicentenary Scholarship. Jasmin has just released her solo album with Linn Records in 2024.
Latvian conductor and cellist Margarita Balanas has performed at venues including Sydney Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Berliner Philharmonie, Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Foundation Louis Vuitton, Walt Disney Hall and L’Auditori Barcelona. Margarita is the assistant conductor of Paavo Järvi at the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich in season 23/24 and 24/25.
To make sure you get the best listening experience and avoid disrupting the concert, we will only be serving from our Light Bites menu in the Sunbeam Theatre. Orders will only be taken up until the start of the performance.
If you’d like to enjoy the full à la carte menu from Pollini at Ladbroke Hall, we recommend booking a table in the main dining room before or after the performance.
