About Us:

Ladbroke Hall in Notting Hill. Our stage for the Arts celebrates creative expression in its many forms: contemporary art, collectible design, culture, dining and music. The reimagined 43,000 square foot space will be a meeting place celebrating creative freedom.

The new offering will encompass the London flagship for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, alongside a restaurant, creative programme, photographic & recording studios and a 12,500 square foot garden.

Community is at the heart of Ladbroke Hall; where friends, patrons and collaborators will come together whilst providing creative development opportunities for local young people.

 

About the Role:

This is an exciting role to head up a new and prestigious restaurant, opening in Kensington & Chelsea, bringing an Italian fine dining flavour to West London. With a high-profile chef, Emanuele Pollini designing the food concept, this will be an incredible opportunity to work in a grade listed iconic building, with an art gallery and patronage attached.

Will help with the writing and procurement of all wines needed for the establishment. The wine list will be constantly evolving and will be the responsibilities of the sommelier team to lead this.

An extensive understanding of French and Italian wine is of the utmost importance.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience working in Restaurants
  • Understanding of all licensing agreements
  • Personal Alcohol Licence preferred
  • A positive attitude and willingness to be flexible in helping all other departments
  • Ability to accurately count stock
  • Exceptional high levels of hospitality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communicational skills to engage with guests
  • Upselling skills

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain par levels of wine stock
  • Update wine list with new bin numbers
  • Complete weekly and monthly stock takes of cellar
  • Maintain exceptional high standards of hospitality while working on the restaurant floor
  • Work with kitchen for wine pairings and event coordination
  • Carry out wine tasting
  • Training other departments on the establishment’s wine offering
  • Adhering to the budget when ordering stock for the wine list
