About Us:

Ladbroke Hall in Notting Hill. Our stage for the Arts celebrates creative expression in its many forms: contemporary art, collectible design, culture, dining and music. The reimagined 43,000 square foot space will be a meeting place celebrating creative freedom.

The new offering will encompass the London flagship for Carpenters Workshop Gallery, alongside a restaurant, creative programme, photographic & recording studios and a 12,500 square foot garden.

Community is at the heart of Ladbroke Hall; where friends, patrons and collaborators will come together whilst providing creative development opportunities for local young people.

 

About the Role:

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic Runner to be part of the busy front of house team. Bringing critical support to our busy restaurant operations, you’ll be a key part of the team that makes our guests’ experiences second to none when they are drinking and dining at Ladbroke Hall.  You will learn the structure and process of a first-class restaurant, with hands-on work keeping you busy throughout your shift.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in restaurants
  • Hands on, team player
  • Punctual, reliable, diplomatic and calm under pressure
  • Confident interacting with guests
  • You will possess a friendly, characterful demeanour and take genuine pleasure in supporting your colleagues
  • You will be carrying trays, moving tables/chairs and on your feet for extended periods so energy, stamina and resilience are essential.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Take food from pass to table under the direction of Head & Sous chef
  • Running food from the kitchen as directed and communicating promptly with your waiters and head waiters
  • Pre-empting problems as they arise and flagging these to your Head Waiter in good time so that they can be resolved swiftly and positively
  • Complete shift checklist
  • Deliver high levels of hospitality
  • Interact with guests delivering food, drinks to the table as well as supporting with any requests
  • Polish cutlery, crockery and glasses
  • Restock waiter station
  • Fold Napkins
  • Lay tables pre and during service
  • Clearing down after service and preparing for the next shift
  • Attend daily briefing
